Few of us ever get the chance to make a real and lasting difference in our community, but YOU can by generously giving of your time to help our guests at Hiway 80 Rescue Mission.

We offer Quarterly Life Skills Classes. Our clients learn skills they need to deal effectively with the challenges in everyday life. These classes require an 8- or 13-week commitment depending on the curriculum. Classes run January-March; April-June; August-October and we need volunteers to teach these classes. 

We have many areas where we need your expertise from Time Management Skills to Effective Communications, Basic Sewing/Mending, Budgeting/Money Management, Basic Cooking, Preparing for a Job or Job Interview, Basic Writing Skills, Parenting, Problem Solving, Anger Management, and many more. Volunteers are not limited to what is listed on this page. If you have a special gift in another area or a unique idea or talent, we are open to creative ways to teach and/or reach our guests. Organize a collection drive on your own. We’re always in need of certain items, and you can have your organization, company, or social circle help. Contact us to learn what we need and organize your own drive.
